Atomic Engine:Worlds smallest high powered engine known!!
A new invention came into being at the University of Mainz, Germany about the World's smallest high powered engine.
The revolutionary engine is termed as "Atomic Engine".
It is designed on the principles using Carnot Engine.
Now what is Carnot Engine.In simple words Carnot Engine is an ideal engine that shows 100% efficiency.
Atleast it was ideal, until this ideal engine concept came into reality via Atomic Engine.
The engine utilizes Calcium atom.A single atom is capable of immense energy due to its ability of heat transfer which is on the basis of its electronic configuration.
The above is electronic configuration of Calcium atom stated.
The electrons fill in the shells and can transport from one shell to another as well.The atom is tightly kept pressed so the pressure is increased when volume decreases.
Calcium atom serves as reusable fuel where the chemical input through working fluid(petrol,gasoline) is added.But, the intake has to be continuous so that Calcium atom undergoes heat transfer at all times and the power increases with each cycle.The atom itself remains static.
