INDUSTRIES play a
vital role in the prosperity and ,ofcourse,employment for youth.Different industries come forward to organize visits and short
workshops for the sake of students to seek practicality in what they have been
taught.
As far as our
Automotive dept. is concerned, industries like NISSAN Pakistan,Pak suzuki and
Indus motors have suceeded in organizing useful workshops for students.I must
say HR department is well organized to compete the international standards.
As NISSAN is a
renowed name in Automotive industry,let me begin the venture from it.If I talk
about NISSAN Pakistan primarily,The Ghandhara Nissan Limited (GNL), was
incorporated in 1981 as a Private Limited Company having the sale licensee for
the distribution of Nissan vehicles in CBU condition in Pakistan, later in 1992
it was converted in to a Public Company listed in Karachi Stock Exchange.
Ghandhara Nissan has Technical Assistance Agreement with Nissan, Japan and
joint Venture Agreement with Nissan Diesel Company, Japan for the progressive
Assembly of Passenger Cars, Light Commercial Vehicles and Heavy Duty Vehicles.
Ghadhara Nissan's Car and Truck Plants are located at Port Qasim, Karachi,
adjacent to each other. Ghandhara Nissan is a group Company of Bibojee Services
(Private) Limited.
Next comes in Pak
Suzuki Motors which is yet another having a vital role in Automotive sector.Pak
Suzuki Motor Company (PSMCL) is a Pakistani subsidiary of Japanese automaker
Suzuki Motor Corporation. It is the Pakistani assembler and distributor of cars
manufactured by Suzuki and its subsidiaries and foreign divisions. Currently
Pak Suzuki has the title of largest car assembler in Pakistan being in
competition.If we seek its background for the sake of knowledge,The firm was
founded in 1983 as a joint venture between the government of Pakistan and
Suzuki Motor Japan, formalizing the arrangement by which Awami Auto Ltd. had
produced the Suzuki SS80 from 1982.
Lastly if I state
newly Indus motors,it holds the background as, The Indus Motor Company Limited
(IMC) is a joint venture between the House of Habib, Toyota Motor Corporation,
Japan (TMC), and Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Japan (TTC) for assembling,
progressive manufacturing and marketing of Toyota vehicles in Pakistan since
July 1, 1990.Indus Motor company's plant is the only manufacturing site in the
world where both Toyota and Daihatsu brands are being manufactured.
These industries were helpful to bridge the
gap between individuals and respective organizations.The experience of students
has been innovative.The officials offered great co-operation with the students
in each of the industrial organization, along with the faculty members.They were
equipped of state of the art technology
which amazed many students.It turned out to be of great experience for the
students.
