By accessing the internet, the web pages available can be set to be seen with a whole new outlook as per set by the programmer. Web Programming Standards:

In order to make the Internet perform more efficiently and effectively, web developers and browsers or viewers are made to follow some standards called Web standards to maintain equilibrium.

By following the Web standards, the developers make the Internet a better place and provide a simplified version as it is followed by certain standards but the Web developers globally. These standards ensure the web pages to be aligned in specific order making sure that minimal time is taken to load a page or website.

The World Wide Web Consortium W3C is responsible in maintaining Web standards that was founded in October 1994. The aim of W3C standard is to maintain a level of convenience to utilize maximum potential through standards of World Wide Web. 

Is standard based Web programming overrated??

Web standards are formulated by W3C due to the fact of providing ease of browsing to the viewer by enabling the websites to follow Web standards.

The coding standards involved to follow W3C standards are debated to be overrated or not.

However, it is because of coding standards that coding variations are provided, formatting has become easy in a standardized manner and junior programmers and fellow programmers are encouraged to go for Web programming.

Keeping the comfort of developers prior, Code reviews are replaced by coding standards that provide a broader way of development such as provision of forum to discuss on suggestions of coding.
