Micro-engine Of Internal Combustion Engine
Well....Internal Combustion Engine is basically combustion of air fuel mixture depending on the type of fuel plus number of strokes utilized.
Scientists have always been striving hard to innovate the concept of Internal Combustion Engine.
For this strategy,scientists from Germany, Russia and Netherlands gathered and revolutionized a new concept of micro engine of Internal Combustion Engine.
What happens in micro engine is that two electrodes separated by a membrane were introduced with opposite charges within a pressure field inside a chamber.Later saltwater has been added and current was passed through it.As a result of electrolysis, the pressure inside the membrane increased and when the current was removed, the membrane returns to its original structure at a faster rate.
Hence the rapid expansion and contraction of the membrane can be implied as an engine.
The torque given by such engine is huge compared to its size,which can be used in different areas where motion is required within small devices.
The pioneering team is still figuring out on the actual size of the engine and opting on its practical working.
