Smartphone game claims to "defeat cancer"

I came to know about a game developed by UK Cancer research claiming to defeat cancer through it.

The name of the game is Play to Cure: Genes in Space. 

The main motive of the game is same as many space ship games.You have to collect valuable elements called 'Alpha Elements' in order to upgrade and customize the spaceship.
The players have to steer the spaceship to collect these avoiding from shooting asteroids.

What makes this game interesting at its claim to defeat cancer is that it has different patterns.Players may think to steer and collect these elements like regular games.On the contrary,the researchers have devised the game using patterns as I mentioned similar to technology called gene micro arrays through which researchers detect the regions affected by cancer in our body.

“Every single second gamers spend playing our Smartphone game directly helps our work to beat cancer sooner. Our scientists’ research produces colossal amounts of data, some of which can only be analysed by the human eye – a process which can take years," said Hannah Keartland, leader of the citizen science project at Cancer Research UK.

The game is ready to download from Google Play store and Apple App.
